Handmade in the beautiful PNW

Hi there!

I am the artist behind all of the creations here at Hazel & Heart. Art has always been a passion of mine, and I am constantly trying new methods for my ideas to come to life.

I am a mom of two wild, toddler boys. Together we love to make smoothies, have jam sessions, play soccer, and pretend to be silly robots. To keep the playfulness and whimsy in our home, I am painting murals. My hope is someday my boys will join in on the fun!

Teaching is also a passion of mine. I have a master in secondary education with a French endorsement, and my hope is to get an art endorsement in the near future. For the time being I am a substitute teacher and love helping build community in the classrooms.

I am so happy you found my website and my only hope is that you find as much joy in my creations as I do making them. Please reach out if you have questions, I would love to hear from you!

With love,

Hannah Lorraine

Hazel

"Hazel" was the name of the first little crochet doll I made. Perfectly imperfect, she became the beginning of my creative world- a collection of whimsical, handmade things inspired by nature, nostalgia, and the stories we carry with us.

Heart

"Heart" references everything I make is handmade with love. I pour my heart and soul into all of my creations. I also believe in spreading kindness to children and their families. That is why I created Heart Hugs, donating one to our local community for every Heart Hug purchase. Thank you for supporting my small business!

Hazel Rain Illustrations

Hazel Rain Illustrations are all hand-drawn digitally with no AI usage. “Digital” does not take individuality and creativity away; in fact, digital art can allow an artist to be more expressive, creative, and integrate more originality with the digital tools and layers that fine art is otherwise confined to. In the digital studio, I draw every glass cabochon design to uniquely express a theme. I also love storybook art and am currently working on an alliterative children’s book, “A Wonderful, Whimsical World from A to Z,” and I am so excited to one day hold it in my hands and read it to my children.
